Join Us for Our Annual Poppy Appeal Event

There’s nothing we love more here at Roberts than coming together for a great cause. On the 11th of November, we’ll be doing just that as our Travel Centre hosts our annual Poppy Appeal Coffee Morning. It’s a chance to honour, remember, and raise vital funds for the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.

Last year, our staff and customers made an incredible effort as we all joined together, raising over £466 on the day for the Royal British Legion – an amount that went towards much-needed support for veterans, active service members, and their families. Every single cup of coffee and slice of cake brought us closer to supporting those who have given so much. And this year, we’re ready to go even further – with your help.

Reflecting on Last Year’s Poppy Appeal Success

Last year’s coffee morning was a huge success. The lounge was buzzing with energy as we came together, inspired by the same goal – to support our Armed Forces. We even had Mike and George, two passionate speakers from the Royal British Legion, who shared the history and meaning of Remembrance Day and why we wear our important poppies.

By the end of the year, through our successful Poppy Appeal event and with the help of donation boxes placed throughout our holidays building, we managed to raise a grand total of £554.63 – a wonderful achievement! We’re so excited to see if we can break that record this year. Mark your diaries, bring your friends, and join us for a coffee, a slice of cake, and a morning filled with gratitude and support.
