Marketing Assistant

Who are we?

We are the largest coach operator in Leicestershire, and we have spent our last 28 years of business building an unrivaled experience and a friendly and trustworthy reputation. We have an extensive fleet of executive vehicles which helps us to service our programme of over 400 coach holidays, day trips and short breaks across the UK and Europe. We also operate a wide range of Private Hire jobs for a variety of occasions and provide school transport to thousands of pupils.

Having recently invested in several new vehicles, including a zero-emissions coach, we are at an exciting point of growth and it is a great point to join a forward thinking company.

The role will be based at the Roberts Travel Group HQ in Hugglescote, Leicestershire, and will involve creating content to promote both our holidays and day trips, as well as our private hire services. With a keen interest in Social Media Marketing, a large part of this role will see you tap into the latest trends to help expand our audience and attract the next generation of Roberts Travel Group Customers.


What will the role entail?

Working as our Marketing Assistant, you can expect the following to be your main duties & responsibilities:

  • Assist the Marketing Manager in delivering the marketing schedule
  • Create content for and maintain an active social media schedule
  • Maintain and upload new products onto the company website
  • Create content for written materials such as email newsletters, blogs, web pages etc.
  • Use Mailchimp to create engaging email newsletters
  • Contributing ideas for new marketing campaigns
  • Uploading new opted-in data to our CRM system on a daily basis
  • Periodically attending roadshows or conferences to promote our services
A little bit about you:

Just a few things we’d love you to have as our new Marketing Assistant:

  • Previous experience as a Marketing Assistant or similar (1 year minimum)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Marketing related field or equivalent qualifications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of organisation and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to spot emerging trends
  • Experience working on social media campaigns and designing assets for social media
  • Experience using Mailchimp desirable but not essential
  • Great team working skills
